Welcome to my website! I'm Myrna CG Mibus, a writer based in Northfield, Minnesota.

Though I've written about topics ranging from aviation to afternoon tea, most of my work now is focused on writing about family, motherhood, and life.

I'm a bicyclist, amateur baker, private pilot, and mom of two young adults. After raising our kids out in the country on a residential airport (yes, we had a runway in our backyard), my husband, Owen, and I recently downsized and moved to the town of Northfield with our Border Terrier, Rocket. In addition to being a writer, I also work part-time as a bookseller at a wonderful indie bookshop, Content Bookstore, in the heart of Northfield.

It’s time for another book review! This review is on a gorgeous novel that covers a lot of ground – THE WHALEBONE THEATRE by Joanna Quinn. I read a preview copy of this book during the summer and was so excited about it I started talking it up to friends right away. As booksellers do,…

A book titled Lessons in Chemistry sits on a bookshelf surrounded by other books. The book has a bright pink/orange cover with the title and author, Bonnie Games, in turquoise letters. In the center of the book is a drawn image of a woman's head, her blond hair in a bun with a pencil stuck in it. She is wearing glasses.

Book Review: Lessons in Chemistry

Lessons in Chemistry is of my favorite books of 2022. It’s laugh-out-loud funny, infuriating, smart, surprising, heartbreaking and hopeful. I hope you like it as much as I do!
